In May 2022, we convened the inaugural Okere Summit for Sustianble Development. The aim of the summit was to generate and increase more interest in rural futurism through critical, innovative, practical, and theoretical perspectives as one of the ways to drive the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Moreover, the summit enabled participants to become more aware of the complexities of rural issues and the needed innovations to address them.
